M&G seeks to provide an enjoyable, educational experience for each patron who visits. We’ve designed activities that enable you to explore M&G’s collections at your own pace, level of understanding, and degree of knowledge. Adults will enjoy the Gallery Guide, while children and high schoolers will find pleasure in the scavenger hunts and postcard tours. Visitors are repeatedly delighted by the world that is opened up to them through our collection. We want you to enjoy it as well! Come peruse our galleries and gain insight into culture and times of the past.

All of the following activities are offered year-round and are free of charge.

Gallery Guide--An Overview of the Collection
This self-guided tour highlights certain works in our collection and offers additional information about well-known works to ensure that your stay with us is insightful and enjoyable. The color-coded map denotes various art periods and emphasizes important artists to help focus your viewing. Using this guide will enable you to choose the galleries in which you’d like to spend the bulk of your visit thereby maximizing the pleasure of your tour.

Scavenger Hunts
Gallery scavenger hunts take 30-45 minutes each and are an excellent way to acquaint students with the M&G collection. Designed in a child-friendly format, these entertaining activities will expose children to either the finest of M&G’s antiquities or its Old Master paintings.
