Please help M&G by contributing to the sustaining and continued growth of M&G’s educational and cultural outreach to the community and beyond by being one of 300 friends, whose intent is to give $1,000 or more to underwrite 1/3 of M&G’s annual operations. Your gift of $1000 covers M&G’s cost to protect and share daily with guests of all ages the enduring, inspiring stories and people linked to 200-700 year old paintings!
M&G’s annual educational outreaches to more than 12,000 K-12 students, their families, and educators. A gift of $300 covers M&G’s cost to go to one classroom to present Museum on the Move.
A Gift of Helping
Help defray general expenses such as daily operations, staff development, and facilities maintenance. Without gifts of every size supporting M&G’s infrastructure, we cannot continue serving people of varied ages, backgrounds, and interests.
M&G regularly plans and creates new exhibitions that rotate at both M&G sites. Your gift supports the development, loans, educational applications, and installation of our exhibitions, which enlarge and enrich not only our understanding of art, but its meaningful links to world history, culture, and philosophy influencing the past and present. Currently, the exhibit planning team is working on exhibits for 2017-2020.
Support the collection by giving toward conservation to maintain individual works, the acquisition of new objects, research and publication of collection catalogs or preservation of the museum’s climate and lighting.
Support the production of a one-of-a-kind presentation that weaves together music, drama and “living art”—sacred paintings and sculptures brought to life with live human models which has been an Upstate Easter tradition since 1998. The next presentation will be featured Easter of 2017.
* In Judges 7, Gideon prepared to fight an impossible battle against thousands with a group of 300 men picked specifically by God; however the Lord fought for them by confusing the Midian army so that they fought one another with the survivors fleeing. It revealed to Gideon, Israel, and the Midianites that the Lord rescues and provides for His people using His methods. Since M&G is facing an overwhelming impossibility—an annual loss of $300,000—we’re seeking 300 friends to help us go forward in what feels as impossible as what Gideon’s 300 faced.
