What is the Museum & Gallery at Heritage Green?
M&G at Heritage Green is an extension of the Museum & Gallery at Bob Jones University. This satellite building, formerly the Coca-Cola bottling plant, is located in a special cultural area in downtown Greenville--the Heritage Green.
Currently, the Greenville County Library, Greenville County Museum of Art, Greenville Little Theatre and the Upcountry History Museum already run their varied operations, while the Children's Museum and M&G continue to raise funds in order to open and serve patrons.
Where is the Museum & Gallery at Heritage Green located?
M&G at Heritage Green is located on Buncombe Road in Greenville, SC. See Area Map and Parking Map.
What role will the building fill?
M&G at Heritage Green will introduce M&G's internationally respected collection to both members and visitors to our community. The aesthetically pleasing museum experience will allow individuals of any age and background to choose for themselves how and what to discover and learn through interactive, relevant educational areas.
Will M&G's whole collection be moving downtown?
Only portions of M&G's collection of Old Masters can fit into the museum downtown, which will be a great enticement for people to visit both locations in order to experience the full development and impact of European art. However, M&G will also draw on its other valued collections such as Middle-Eastern antiquities, Russian icons, decorative arts, and period furniture, to provide the visitor with glimpses of past civilizations and their relevance and influence on us today.
