The Process
Step 1: Choose your role!
- Gothic Apprentice
- Baroque Apprentice
- Modern Apprentice
- Art Historian
Step 2: Gather Information!
- Print your fact-finding sheet and keep it handy to record the information you discover.
- Perform your research. Click on the Resources page at the top for websites that will help you find the information you need to free your artist.
- Find and save two paintings done by your lost artist.
Step 3: Decision Time!
- Get together with your group mates and discuss your research.
- Based on that research, decide where your lost artist’s studio is located.
- Develop a list of reasons to support your decision.
Step 4: Presentation!
- Working together as a group, design a PowerPoint presentation that includes your artist’s name, the time period to which he belongs, and the two paintings you have chosen. Include the reasons for your decision in your presentation.
- Present these findings to the class.
- Let the Apprentices in “Art’s” Academy vote on the accuracy of your decision.
