Making the Most of Your Gifts

Thank you for considering a gift to the Bob Jones University Museum & Gallery. To be responsive to your giving needs, we offer several methods of giving to fit your current financial, tax, and estate planning needs. Outlined in this webpage are some of the more common methods used by friends to make the most of their gift and tax savings.

Information about different types of gifts can be obtained by clicking on the category titles below, calling 1-888-870-8161, or emailing funds@bjumg.org.

"Outright gifts" include gifts of cash, appreciated securities, closely-held stock, real estate, personal property, life insurance, trust income, and gifts through a charitable lead trust. These "outright gifts" are current gifts that you can make today.

Deferred gifts are gifts you can arrange now to be received over time. These methods of giving can often allow you to make a much larger gift than you may have thought possible while providing numerous tax benefits. A deferred gift can often provide an income for the rest of your life and/or the life of a loved one. Please check the link to receive a brief overview of some of these gift opportunities.

A very effective way to fund a charitable gift, whether during your life or at death, is with retirement plan assets.

This link includes brief explanations of methods you could employ to preserve more of your retirement-plan assets for your loved-ones and for the Bob Jones University Museum & Gallery.
