M&G is excited to celebrate The Week of the Young Child! The Week of the Young Child™ (WOYC) is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) celebrating early learning, young children, their teachers and families. Greenville, South Carolina is celebrating WOYC April 11th-18th, 2015.

Kids’ Fest at Heritage Green

Join the Museum & Gallery and all the entities at Heritage Green for the kick-off event for The Week of the Young Child! The Museum & Gallery, The Children’s Museum of the Upstate, the Greenville County Museum of Art, Greenville Little Theatre, Hughes Main Library, and Upcountry History Museum will all be setting up booths on the lawn at Heritage Green with activities the whole family will enjoy!

  • Admission to the booth area is free, and admission to the Museum & Gallery is free all day.
  • Come design and create your very own pinwheel with us and enjoy some freshly popped popcorn!
  • Families and young learners can come and experience all the enriching things each Heritage Green entity has to offer.

Picnic in the Park

Picnic in the Park provides early childhood programs and families a variety of developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 0-8. Bring your family or your childcare center and help us paint pinwheel canvases!
